Business Development Executive (Geologist OR Geophysicist)
HiSeis is a leading international seismic services company providing sub-surface imaging solutions to the hard-rock mining industry. Their proposition is to enable mine operators to fast track discovery through targeted exploration based on high-resolution 3D imaging of the mine geology. Since its formation in 2009, HiSeis has successfully completed seismic projects around the globe for some of the largest mining companies. As part of HiSeis’ growth strategy, they are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious professional to join their management team to continue to grow the company domestically and globally.
The primary role of the Business Development Executive will be to prospect for new clients by executing the sales and marketing plan (as part of the Board approved Strategic Development Plan), which will include networking, lead generation and follow-up, conference attendance, advertising and other means of generating interest from potential clients. The Business Development Executive will be required to increase the company’s exposure and industry awareness, to improve their market position and to meet financial growth targets.
The Business Development Executive will report to the CEO and is part of the HiSeis Management Team. They will assist the CEO in defining and achieving long-term business development strategic goals and will be largely responsible for building and maintaining key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and negotiating and closing business deals. They will work closely with operations, technical development and administration managers.
In order to be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in Geology or Geophysics; post graduate qualifications in Geoscience or Business will be highly regarded. Applicants will be required to demonstrate past success and experience in sales or business development in a technical mining/exploration setting.
